Looks as though one small patch of green in Greensboro may be saved from the chainsaw

Starmount park gets go-ahead, reports the News & Record today. The Parks & Rec Comm approved plans last night to create a park. It's the first step. Zoning comm and city council will need to approve the plans this fall in order for the project to move forward.

It's too bad the adjacent site where the Junior League will reside is going to get rezoning for commercial use. I think it's a bad precedent and wonder what type of commercial development we'll be battling next . . .
