The latest is a pending request to rezone the corner of Friendly Avenue and Holden from single family to general office. Technical name is "Conditional District-General Office-Moderate Intensity."
Let's protect the quality of life for all residents of Starmount Forest /Hamilton Lakes. If that corner is rezoned to general office, expect to see a domino effect along Friendly Avenue.
Office buildings encroaching upon a beautiful old neighborhood--when this part of town has a glut of unoccupied office space. Why?

good idea, i'll do the same.
Deja vu all over again. Please send emails to the Zoning Commission members asking them to reject this request. Encroachment of nonresidential zoning into these neighborhoods would ruin them. Keep the southside of Friendly strictly residential!!!!!
Curious, why did you leave out Hamilton forest from your signs?
New signs are available for purchase that say "No Rezoning Starmount Forest/Hamilton Lakes. "Starmount Forest" signs are from the last rezoning mess in 2007 on SW corner of Friendly at Green Valley--but sentiment remains the same. I hope everyone gets involved again.
Someone please call me asap! I'm Sheeka Strickland, with Fox8, and would like to do a story on this today. 303-9105. Thanks!
Sheeka, I emailed you the organizers' contact info. Thanks for your interest.
See no reason to not rezone. I've seen the projected design and it is very nice. Would not detract from neighborhood or property values. Was at the meeting at Christ Church.
Anon, it's very pretty, very large--occupies entire lot, very tall [50 feet], and surrounded by blacktop. It doesn't belong in a residential neighborhood.
